Asher Parkes
Fresh off showcasing Tune In Tel Aviv, an international music conference with representatives from Sony, Coachella and Montreux Jazz Festival, Asher Parkes prepares his new collaborative release with
Oh Wonder’s Tel Aviv support, Folly Tree.
A co-write with an electro-folk vocalist, Chronic (ft. Folly Tree) and its accompanying visuals explore feelings of relentlessness, displacement and subtle hope, with Asher's distinctive production style shadowing tones set by Massive Attack and Nils Frahm. The single is the first from Asher’s upcoming, untitled 3rd record.
The release follows Asher’s Trip-Hop influenced 2017 EP, “Don’t Stay,” which garnered radio spots for its lead single Slow Motion including "song of the week" on Israel's alternative station, 88FM.
Asher Parkes is an Australian, Tel Aviv based music producer and composer who, at 26, has collaborated with some of Australia’s notable talents including Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Hiatus Kaiyote), Benny Harwood (Cut Copy, Flume), and Japanese Wallpaper.
